Why is beer good for health?

Rich in vitamins

Many important vitamins for health are contained in beer. Most of the vitamins are generated by yeast in beer. Vitamin B1, B2, B6 and H in beer provide nutrients into nervous tissues. They help to improve concentration and to produce red blood cells. And they have a good effect on the bloodstream and metabolism. Beer has excellent anti-aging properties.

Inorganic substances for metabolism

According to studies by the Germany Technical University of Munich, minerals contained in beer have an important effect on nervous tissues, muscle electrolyte activity, enzyme activity and hormone balance.
Iron is important for hematopoiesis, phosphorus is for metabolism and magnesium is for strengthening heart muscle. Also, the zinc found in beer helps to generate insulin.

Stability mentally and physically

Neurotic symptoms, insomniac or hypertension is directly related with complex lifestyle or stresses from workplace or home. A glass of beer before going to bed is the best treatment for these.
Hop in beer acts as a sedative for tired nervous tissues and a relaxant for muscles. And low-proof alcohols make body relaxed.

Beer is relatively a low calorie drink. Its calorie is about 160 kcal, higher than water, coffee, tea and low-fat milk but lower than strong liquors, wines, champagne, lemonade and milk.

Krone means a crown in German. An appetizing rich froth of beer is called as Krone, meaning absolute royal authority, to Germans.
The froth of beer is an essential component. Germans call the froth the “Flower of beer”. The froth of beer consists of small bubbles generated during the process of fermentation. The white froth formed by saccharides, proteins and hop resins should be small and even and should maintain its bubbles for a long time. "Yeast", Excellent on prevention of diabetes!

It has been known that yeast, used for fermentation of malt, has an inhibitive effect on the absorption of cholesterol which is a cause of diabetes. Japan‟s Asahi Beer had conducted a study to observe the effect of yeast for 2 months; 37 males, aged 24~69 years old, were grouped into two; one took pills with dried yeast and the other took placebo pills. As the result of evaluating blood fat, „LDL cholesterol‟ which acts as carriers of cholesterols was significantly decreased in the group of taking beer yeast. In addition, the blocking ability of white blood cells against penetration of foreign substances was improved to 69~73% in the group of taking beer yeast. On the other hand, in the group of taking the placebo, no significant changes were observed in blood cholesterol levels. Asahi Beer described yeast as a useful ingredient for foods or medicines.
